TabTrade.com - The Honest Breakdown
The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection is relevant. It says the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something this new, the breadth is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you deposit.
